Aurelia does not have a malicious bone in her body. She has never benefitted from hurting anyone or tricking anyone, so she just doesn’t. Though she tends to get jealous, she usually tries not to let it go too far. She is often very true with expressing her emotions. She is such a sincere person sometimes she repels people away with it. But, she doesn’t see this as a bad trait. Aurelia will always be sincere to anyone she talks to because she wants the same treatment in return. Aurelia would never tell a lie to hurt someone’s feelings either. It’s obvious from the elaborate clothing she makes that Aurelia is very creative. Not only is she creative in the artistic sense, but the imaginative sense as well. Aurelia will sometimes compose fantasies in her head to get her through a rough day. Though she can be a bit clueless and naïve, she does have moment where she will come up with a creative solution to a problem. Sometimes, her inexperience serves as a handy tool. Artistically, she can create any unique article of clothing by either changing her stitching method or combining a unique palette. Her grandmother would always complain that Aurelia never met a stranger. Amiable and often magnanimous , Aurelia tries not to make enemies. Even if she does, she often too naïve to realize that someone hates her. If she’s told she is hated, she will do anything to get back on their good side.
One of Aurelia’s biggest weaknesses is how credulous she can be. She is truly easy to convince. If someone tells her that fish can drown underwater, her brows will furrow with concern ( and heartbreak). The poor girl believes that everyone she meets has good intentions. Even if they prove her wrong ,she will give them infinite forgiveness. It takes a complete jerk to make her reconsider her naivety. This also causes her to be meek and fragile. Thanks to her grandmother, she believes its better to be submissive than to be difficult. Aurelia tends to try to remain agreeable in a bad situation. She’s fairly sensitive and it doesn’t take much for her to feel worried. She has a very hard time speaking up for herself. Though she is docile and credulous, Aurelia knows a true pervert when she sees one. If she actually understand the dirty joke that being tossed her way or if a guy tries to do anything appropriate, a rare side of Aurelia will show. She will find the nearest object and attack.
Aurelia tends to be possessive, especially at this point in her life. She desperately wants to make lasting friends so she tends to become clingy and very attached. She has abandonment issues and will pout or get upset when someone leaves her company too soon. When hanging out with someone, she will want to keep them completely to herself and shut other people out . She’s started to notice that she has feelings of jealous when she has to share the friends she makes. She’s a bit insecure and fears they will leave her for a better friend. It doenst take much to make her worry. <----------------Biography-----------------> Biography [attr="class","box3"]Upon meeting Aurelia, one can tell she gets worried when someone wants to leave her. She gets anxious, worried and may even cry. Throughout her life, she has bad people abandon her or die without saying goodbye.
From the beginning, her family was small and had little time to spend with the young girl. Even though Aurelia was born into a rich family, it was far from a happy one. Her father was a military man and worked long hours, while her mother was in poor health. From the moment she could walk, she was placed into the care of her grandmother, Angela. Angela was a strict, harsh woman who believed that the key to life was marrying a rich man like she did. Since her parents weren’t around, Aurelia was at the mercy of Angela’s strict rules. The small girl was kept in the house, away from ‘unworthy’ children. Playing games outside was far less productive than what Angela had planned for her. She taught Aurelia how to help around the house by cleaning and helping with dinner every night. Her grandmother was very old fashioned and believed in women who were submissive to their men. She even planned an arranged marriage between her granddaughter and the son of an old friend.
Though her grandmother was harsh, she had one savior; her mother. The woman would play with Aurelia as much as she could every morning. At night, if he mother could leave the bed she would read Aurelia fairytales. She would paint beautiful worlds in the child’s imagination. Aurelia wanted to make friends and embark on adventures too. The school was the only place she could make friends. Her mother taught her how to sew and they made lovely blankets together. Her mother would always make her cute bows and fantasize about having a business. Aurelia vowed to start one with her mother one day.
At the age of six, Aurelia lost the one person who painted her world. Her mother never recovered from her sickness and passed away. It was a shame that she only got to see her father again under these circumstances. The sheltered and lonely girl lost her only friend. After her mother’s death, her life continued to become unstable. Her family often had to uproot and leave when her father was stationed in a new place. The life of a military kid often required moving too much to get to know people. When her family settled in Jerez, Aurelia ended up staying long enough to make one friend. Her best friend was a young girl who had cancer. Her grandmother was a part-time nurse for her when she was not taking care of Aurelia, so she would see the girl a lot. The girl, Rosa, instantly took a liking to Aurelia. For an entire year, the girls were inseparable. Aurelia made her cute outfits and wigs. Rosa tried her best to take Aurelia to wonderful places. They read wonderful stories and went on little adventures. As much as she was having, he was always worried for her friend. Since her mother was sick, she knew that eventually, Rosa would meet the same fate. When she got news that they had to move homes once again, Aurelia freaked out. She didn’t want to leave Rosa. Unfortunately, she did not have the power to stop her grandmother and father from packing up once again. Aurelia received the news a few months after her departure that he dear friend passed away as well.
Aurelia’s life was a continuous cycle of moving and abandonment. Her grandmother barely showed her love, telling her to control her emotions. She was not allowed to date because the woman still instilled into the young girls’ mind that she would have an arranged marriage. The only thing that remained constant to Aurelia was her fantasies. She could go anywhere in her books, after all. After one of her grandmother’s friends noticed Aurelia making a lovely sweater, she suggested that the young girl start selling them. Aurelia didn’t believe she had what it took at her young age to set up a shop. The woman told her that making a small shop online could help! Aurelia started a small business selling cute bows and sweaters. For a while, that served as her happiness. She loved seeing people in her clothes. When her father moved once again, her grandmother decided that she would not move with him. She and Aurelia stayed in a small town where Aurelia soon to be husband lived. At the age of sixteen, Aurelia met her future husband and he… was pretentious. The man barely had time to meet and talk to Aurelia, but her grandmother fell in love with him. She thought he was such an ambitious, admirable man. Aurelia didn’t want to be stuck with another person who would leave her at home.
As a teen, she finally started to rebel against her strict grandmother. Aurelia started to sneak out of her home to meet a guy she met who only went by the name Rio. She met him at her school and she felt like she was the only boy who paid her any attention. She fell in love quickly, especially when he promised that he would stay with her forever. Maybe Rio meant it—but Angela had other plans. Once she found out where Aurelia was going, she flipped out. She barred the girl to her room and refused to let her leave. She told her how sinful and dirty her actions were. At first, Aurelia didn’t care. She just wanted to be with Rio. Aurelia yelled at her grandmother and told her she was going to run away and live with him. She left her home and snuck into Rio’s begging the man to live with him. Rio refused, but he said he had a better idea. They could live on their own together. Rio mentioned that he would just need a certain amount of money to put on his own to make their dream come true. Naïve Aurelia had been saving up her money from her online shop. She emptied out her pay pal completely and handed the money over to Rio, waiting patiently for him to return to her with the keys to their apartment. Aurelia ended up waiting eight days. It took Angela’s harsh mocking for Aurelia to realize that Rio ran off with her money. He took advantage of a young girl who had no idea how to take care of herself. Aurelia was completely crushed.
Her grandmother filled Aurelia’s head with doubt and insecurity. Angela reassured her grandchild that she only had her and no one else. At 18, Aurelia graduated high school. She wanted to go to college and learn how to run a business, but her grandmother thought that was a silly dream. She would be more successful on the arm of a millionaire! Seeing the arrange marriage as a stable thing, Aurelia decided to just go through with it. It was easier if she just made her grandmother happy, right?
At age twenty, Aurelia was shipped off to get married to her ‘husband’. As she expected, the man was far too busy for her. He barely paid any attention to his wife, but he demanded that his home was cleaned and his meals were cooked. Aurelia was miserable, but at least were stable? For a year, she lived dealt with the arranged marriage. One night, she received news that her grandmother was sick. She went to visit her every day until she eventually passed away. When she returned home, she found that her key no longer worked. It seemed her husband had no intention of keeping up the arrangement after her grandmother passed! After a short divorce, Aurelia ended up losing half of her belongings. Her grandmother ended up leaving her wealth to her other son since Aurelia was taken care of. When she tried to contact her father, he received no answer. The man went on a mission and was never heard from again. In an instant, her ‘stable’ life fell apart.
Aurelia packed up everything she could fit into her bags and headed towards the nearest shelter. Unfortunately, the journey was a long one and she barely knew how to take care of herself. The first night in the shelter, her most of her belongings were stolen. The adjustment from rich to poor was hard on her. There were friendly women who taught her a few survival skills, but overall, she was unhappy. Aurelia planned to leave the shelter, even though she had no idea where she would go. She wanted to visit her mother’s grave, but she had no idea where she was, to begin with. She cursed her sheltered life. More than anything, she just wanted a friend. She left the shelter, telling the others that she was just going for a walk.
